For fashion product development studio Holographik Workshop, we developed a monogram that aligns with their overall aesthetic and reacts to different embellishment techniques. Two uppercase letters are seamlessly interconnected and a stroke encloses them into an oval vignette. Range of weights work also as optical sizes, where precise finishing techniques make use of thin, fine lines. When applied in smaller sizes, monogram benefits from lower contrast and thicker strokes. Level of stroke detailing also reduces as monogram becomes thicker.

During the process we tested everything from potential sizing of the logo on garments, how it performs on different material, how it reacts to various embellishment methods and color combinations. This development phase informed the nature of the curvature and ensured logotype performs as desired in each environment.
