Dial originated as a redrawing practice of numbers found on a vintage Quartz wall clock. Its style quickly expanded and evolved, resulting in a caps-only geometric typeface characterized by strict monoline negative spaces. In the pursuit of avoiding the pitfall of repetitive geometry, its outer forms are sometimes devoid of usually-expected minimalism, paving the way for an amplified ambiguous appearance. Dial is meant to be used on a grand scale, and most definitely in environments where legibility is not an issue. It works well for punchy signs, striking headlines, notable logotypes—and so much more!
